Entertainment/Activities Day at Pearl Harbor Visit Pearl Harbor, The Arizona Memorial and the USS Missouri. Travel to Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Memorial, where you'll spend the morning or afternoon reliving the important historic moments that took place at this fascinating site. Your driver will drop you off at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, and give you all the information you need on where to get tickets for the tour. He will also let you know the location of the souvenir shop and museum, as well as a pickup place and time for when you have completed your time at the Arizona Memorial. You'll wait at the Visitor Center until it's your turn to tour. Then, you'll view a moving film depicting the events of the 1941 Pearl Harbor attack. Afterward, you'll board a Navy launch for the short ride to the Arizona Memorial. Spend some time exploring this somber site, the resting place of 1,102 of the nearly 1,200 sailors killed on the USS Arizona during the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. Dedicated in 1962, the Memorial consists of three main parts and spans the sunken hull of the battleship. At the USS Missouri, also known as Mighty Mo, you will walk the deck where General Douglas MacArthur accepted Japan's surrender. After World War II the Missouri went on to fight again in Korea and Operation Desert Storm. This impressive ship played a vital role in the Pacific by helping in bombing raids over Tokyo and providing relief during the battles of Iwo Jima. It was taken out of action in 1955 but modernized and sent back into the waters in 1986. Due to considerable interest in Pearl Harbor and the Arizona Memorial, the wait time from when you arrive to when your tour begins is about 1 3⁄4 hours to 2 1⁄4 hours, depending on the number of visitors on any given day. Please be aware that the later your arrival to the Memorial, the longer you'll have to wait. (You also run the risk that tours could be closed for the day). If the Arizona Memorial is sold out, the cost will still be the same since the rate is based on the duration of the tour, and entrance to the Arizona Memorial is free.

Road to Hana This day trip covers all of the incredible sights to behold on the Road to Hana.As your day begins, your guide will talk about the island's history and lore. The winding road to Hana possesses a mystical quality and is the most famous drive in all of Hawaii. You'll feel as though you're traveling through Maui's rain forest on this slow, meandering trip through a lush paradise.Encompassing 52 miles, 617 curves, and 56 one-lane bridges, the Hana Highway starts in Kahului and passes through sugar cane fields and the beach town of Paia as we make our way through Maui's spectacular tropical rain forest. The Pools Of Oheo Gulch are part of Haleakala National Park and are located in eastern Maui, about 40 minutes beyond Hana. Formed by the Pipiwai Stream, this series of waterfalls and pools at the shoreline is the most popular attraction in all of east Maui. When weather conditions are favorable, it's great for swimming, but since swimming is not always an option, your driver /guide will discuss alternatives as you enjoy your ride. Not far beyond the Pools is the Palapala Hoomau Church with its tiny cemetery, where the American aviation pioneer Charles Lindbergh is buried. This is definitely worth a stop.Unlike anything you've probably seen before, lava tubes are created when lava from volcanic vents forms a river that crusts over on top. These tubes can transport lava for over 20 miles and are certainly a sight to see.Weather permitting, this tour circles the base of Haleakala (Maui's sleeping volcano) on dirt roads without bridges.During the course of the day, you'll be treated to a lovely picnic lunch buffet and complimentary beverages.Hop aboard one of our 12-passenger Comfort Cruisers and enjoy breathtaking views of the Hana Highway as our guides share their love and knowledge of this magnificent stretch of road with you.

Tasting the Best of Maui Our first stop of the day is Ocean Vodka Distillery (it's 5 o'clock somewhere!), located on the mid-slopes of the Haleakala Volcano. With fabulous views of both the island's north and south shores, Ocean is proud to be the world's only solar powered vodka distillery. You'll learn about their sustainable farming practices, their commitment to the earth and see their unique bottles. Samples of vodka and rum will be provided. But don't sample too much. Next up is a walking tour of the Ali'i Kkula Lavender Farm. After strolling the beautiful, fragrant fields, we'll enjoy a cup of lavender coffee or tea and scones. There will time for you to browse delightful lavender items in the gift shop as well. Back in the vehicle, you'll find water and an assortment of juices as we head on to Pineapple Country. The lush green drive up the slopes of Haleakala towards Kula provides a look at a typical Hawaiian landscape. See the 1,200 acres of pineapples grown here, which Maui Wine turns into delightful vintages. There's more to come as you stop at Kula Country Farms where over 180 acres are used to grow Kula strawberries and vegetables, including corn, beans, lettuce, spinach, peas, artichokes, herbs, pumpkins, tomatoes, zucchini, depending on the season. Moving on to the leeward side of Haleakala, we head up almost 2,000 feet to the scenic, charming Ulupalakua Ranch. This 18,000 acre working cattle ranch has been around since 1845 and you will hear about its history en route to the Ranch Store for lunch. Choose from a Maui Cattle Burger (grass fed beef raised on the ranch and cooked right there for you) or a garden burger (vegetarian choice). This is a beautiful setting where you can see the ruins of an old sugar mill built by the whaling Captain James Makee. Located right on the ranch property you'll find Maui's only winery, housed in what was formerly the King's cottage. You'll take a tour and have the option to sample some of their fine wines in the tasting room (including the pineapple wine). Finally, if time allows, we'll drive through the old hippie town of Paia, then on to Ho`okipa Beach Park for some photos overlooking the magnificent surf. You’ll discover why this spectacular place is known as the wind-surfing capital of the world. Keep an eye out for honu (sea turtles) on the beach before returning to town. Maui is bursting with beauty, color and a variety of delicious food and beverages to tantalize your tastebuds.
